We have received numerous e-mails claiming that
the intrepid poster Zeb who was banned from
TVClubhouse is back posting
again under the new name of Xyth.
We were somewhat skeptical, so we did a little research into the matter.
Looking into Xyth's profile at TVCH, we find his motto is ""Adhibenda
est in jocando moderatio" which translates as "Gentle dullness ever
loves a joke". Doesn't this sound a lot like Zeb's continuing harangue
against boredom, exemplified in his "Open Letter To Netizens" where
he says "I feel like I've added a lot to the TVCH in the way of generating
humor, activities, and...yes...controversy that sometimes puts life back in a
near cadaver of monotony"?
This prodded us to look at the meaning of Xyth - where we found this
definition:
When your interests or curiosity are aroused, you work intensely at new
undertakings, but your interests often wane when you encounter drudgery and
monotony, with the result that you leave many things unfinished. Your name has
taken you into many bitter experiences. The greatest lack in your life is
stability and peace of mind. A peaceful and quiet environment, especially out
in nature, is one of your greatest desires, but you are constantly taken into
chaotic conditions. Because you have high ideals and are a principled person,
you have been disillusioned and disappointed in people on many occasions and
have experienced much aloneness. You do not like to be restricted or to have
your freedom curtailed in any way. You find it difficult to control your
thoughts and could swing in moods from one extreme to the other. Your speech
can become very critical and sarcastic when you are frustrated or crossed.
That sure sounds a lot like our friend Zeb.
If you look at his profile, he also describes himself as male, 33, brown hair,
and blue eyes which seems to fit Zeb's description (though it cannot be viewed
now). Also the profile photo looks pretty much like the balding male photo that
Zeb as Tukuul posted in the Big Brother type Game on the site.
Finally, his name in the profile, Ben Trovato, also has a meaning - it comes
from the Italian saying "se è non vero, è ben trovato",
which translated means "even if it is not true, it is well invented
", and is defined as an adjective meaning "appropriate even if
untrue; happily invented"
Apparrantly there is no way to be sure without being a moderator on TVCH, if
even then, but enquiring minds would like to know.
We contacted a couple of our favorite moderators at TVCH, and their official
response is that they are much too busy at TVCH to investigate every new member
that is rumoured to be Zeb. And if there has been no problems with Xyth, what
does it matter? Well said!
Thanks to all our readers for pointing us in the right direction for the little
snippets of information quoted above. |

We are starting to seriously worry about the
health of the Reality411 website. First
the bandwidth problems forced them to change hosts to SendAGig, which we
thought slowed down their site significantly. Then they were flamed
unmercifully for some of the problems they had with the Kent chat last Friday
night, to the point that several posters said adios.
And now their discussion messageboard is being plagued with one of the nastiest
types of banner advertising I have ever seen - one that "floats" when
you scroll such that it is always visible at the top of your screen and over
any text or graphics.
Seems that the EZBoard service they are using keeps kicking up the fees to
remove the banner ads with increasing board hits, and Kristii just can't afford
the bill. So it is either accept the ads or find another service.
Not too many people are happy about this, and it could affect her board
membership significantly. If not fixed soon, we may have to be calling 911 for
411. |

Seem another top Big Brother site has run afoul
of the ever-changing rules and regulations of the
Big Brother Top50 ranking site this
week.
In an effort to more accurately count the visitors to their site,
TVClubhouse embarked on a couple
of strategies that have found them in hot water with the Top50 people.
We understand that a popup type tactic was first employed such that if a person
went to a certain page, the main page would also open in a new window, thus
counting the "hit". This was so roundly booed by the members that it
was quickly removed.
They then placed the Top50 counting logo on a topics page of their
messageboard. This seems to have been the offending rule violation, for soon
after they were removed from the Top50 site. Strangely enough, the Top50 also
seems to have incorporated a new ruling that seems to preclude the TVCH site,
one that says message boards are not allowed on the list.
We understand TVCH has reapplied for membership and can now be found in the
high 200s on the list (which should change rapidly - they do get thousands of
hits a day). Hopefully the Top50 people will let them achieve their rightful
place in the ranking list. |

If you haven't noticed yet, the controversial
Banish Krista site is closing its
doors.
Citing boredom with Big Brother 2 after Krista was banished, and the tedium of
updating the site, the webmistress has mothballed the site.
The most popular Big Brother 2 houseguest site on the web (though it was an
anti-Krista site), the site began as a response to Krista's dislike of Spam,
which happened to be the alias of the webmistress. Climbing rapidly in the
Top50 chart, it soon surpassed such stalwarts as
TVClubhouse and
Elite TV in the rankings till it ran
afoul of the Top50 rules.
Though bashed by many due to its extreme negativity, it consistently drew
readers to its harsh but always entertaining content.
Thanks for the entertainment! |

We have had quite a few nominations from our
readers for Favorite Poster this week, and will try to honor them all. But this
issue we present Elite TV's RealGuy as
our favorite!
RealGuy is another live feed poster and is loved for such comments as:
(After Nicole has left the area) Bunky asks his two playmates, "When is
she going to start dinner? It's going to be midnight before we eat!" Hardy
and Will mumble something generic (lest they say something negative about the
Queen and are beheaded).
Our reader writes: "RealGuy is dependable, clean and makes boring feeds
interesting to read even after I've watched them!"
Keep up the good work RealGuy, and yoohoo to our reader that nominated
him. |
