Jokers Closes Down

With the end of Big Brother last night, Jokers Updates has closed its doors. A legend in the realm of Live Feed updates, this site was a must visit for any Big Brother addict. More popular this year even than during Big Brother 1, the site suffered for its popularity by being plagued with trolls. Visit the Update site and click on the link to read Joker's poetic thinking on how the site and its success has affected him.

Along with the Updates board, the P/X, run by Poppy and Xeno is also taking a short sabbatical. Seems the task of maintaining and moderating such a succesful board has taken its toll.

Thank you Joker and friends for giving us a true Big Brother institution. We wish you the best in this "off" season.

TVCH Spinoff

Following in the path of Reality Rox and Elite TV another set of disgruntled TVCH posters have gone off to set up their own message board at http://www.tornadohills.com/bb2.

If you follow the "Why We Moved" forum, you will still find the original attempt at a board (the new boad doesn't seem too active). The site seems to have been started by BBVoyeur after his banning from TVCH, and looks like it is being run by donnabert, who we believe is another TVCH reject. About 6 of the more vocal posters from the mother site seem to have moved over, including Americanwoman, Eddiesleg, and FloresMama.

The site so far seems to be mostly devoted to criticizing the moderating and moderators at TVCH, especially Gail and Ryn. I guess there isn't much Big Brother stuff to talk about now that the show is over. We have had some contact that some messages have been deleted and posters moderated on the board. It is also interesting to note that the new board requires registration, much like TVCH. Has BBVoyeur and crew become moderators?

At least the Reality Rox and Elite TV sites had/have some purpose other than slamming TVCH, though I am sure some of that has occured. But the Reality Rox site is now defunct, and it remains to be seen if the Elite site can survive the passing of Big Brother.

Our considered opinion is that this site has little chance at survival. DOA.

Zeb Apologizes?

We were somewhat stunned when we read our new message board and found an apology from the poster formerly known as Zeb. Our initial reaction was that it must be a hoax, however when we compared the IP addresses to that of the two messages we removed from the board, and the one still on the board from Dr. Will which we had already identified as him, they matched! At least two other message board sites have confirmed that the IP address we have correspond to aliases of this poster.

It was with further suprise that we found more posts from Tukuul and Zeb, again with the same IP address (just view the page source of a message to see for yourself). Tukuul is a known alias of Zeb.

We are certain that there is some evil plan behind these postings, and are just waiting for the play to unfold. Our guess is that Zeb will either be posting a denial on our board or on BBInsider (our guess is BBInsider since the IP addresses are not publically available). Or attacks against our site will start appearing on other boards. Or e-mails will be flying. We will make sure if any of this happens we will update you, our readers.

Flint Leaving!

It is with much joy and sadness that we have learned that Flint, a long-time moderator at the TVClubhouse, will be leaving the reality scene, at least for all intent and purpose.

Accepting a teaching job in Korea at the end of October, he believes he will still have internet access. But the time constraints of his position and integrating with a new culture will deeply curtail his on-line presence, not to mention any ability to continue his moderation duties.

Flint has been a net citizen for many years, most recently serving duty at TVCH as poster and moderator. He was also known as the Interrogator for that site's Big Brother type Game I and Game II.

You will be missed, Flint. And I have been asked to mention that your thong will be missed also. Good luck and visit when you can.

And for all of you "Who Runs Reality Trash" players, Flint does not run this site!

Favorite Poster: TVCH's Ewing2001

In deference to the impending departure of Flint, we have given him the opportunity to pick this issue's Favorite Poster. Flint writes:

"My favourite poster right now would probably shock a lot of people. Then again if they follow the board it probably wouldn't. Ewing2001 and I used to butt heads a lot. We even got into a few snits back and forth. Conspiracy theories are his forte, and he likes technical stuff, and a lot of times his posts conflicted with what belonged in the Big Brother area."

"Since what happened in the US with the terrorist attacks, my view of Ewing2001 has completely changed. (Ok maybe not completely, stuff still belongs in the right area.) Ewing has gone out of his way to keep people informed on what happened, what is going on, contact numbers to try and locate loved ones, anything and everything he can. As he is in NYC he also brings a very close human element into his reports. I don't think the guy slept the first 4-5 days after the crash, and he went above and beyond keeping people informed. I said it on the board, and I will say it again, he was a godsend."

Thanks Flint, and congratulations TVCH's Ewing2001!
